“The times are urgent; let us slow down.”

- Bayo Akomolafe

As the world hurtles towards climate catastrophe, so those of us working to avert it hurtle through our work and our lives.

Many of us have a story of deep connection with the more-than-human world that motivates our climate work, but few of us have the spaciousness to slow down, connect, and listen to the wisdom of the broader tapestry of life.

Instead, we become enmeshed in the ever-accelerating urgency that is the pace of our time, whether we work in the private sector, non-profits, or government.

Those that join us will emerge with…

  • Concrete practices, resources, and support to navigate these trying times with resilience and courage.

  • An embodied, in-the-cells, reciprocal connection to the wisdom of the natural world.

  • Support from a vibrant community of climate-focused peers who are committed to walking with reverence and strength.

Our Pillars

Reciprocal Connection with the More-Than-Human World

With dedicated time for wandering in nature and developing relationship with the more-than-human world, we’ll lay the foundation for a reciprocal and regenerative connection with the wild and wild-ish places that surround you.

Our first day will close with a ritual grief ceremony, to create space to honor all we’ve already lost. Our belief and experience is that through offering ourselves the space to grieve, we lay the foundation for more grounded, authentic, and lasting action in service of all the beauty that remains.

Community and support of like-hearted peers

Build lasting connections with other leaders in the climate space who crave a more soulful and sane way of working and living. With ample time for group conversations both structured and informal, we’ll create a web of support that will carry forward long after the two days of the retreat.

Conscious Leadership Coaching

We’ll use the principles of Conscious Leadership to create an embodied experience of the distinction between victim and creator consciousness as it relates to climate change. By acknowledging our global and local situation with clear eyes, we’ll then step into our agency to create change in these mythic times - in which the range of futures is wide and our actions profoundly matter. Leaders will release barriers that are keeping them from their full potential.
